A director and board member at Phoenix Capital Management, Michel Abrogoua is also a recognised expert in African financial markets. With over 28 years experience, he has spent much of his career in key functions within leading international institutions. He has worked for IBM France for Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Benin and Togo, was deputy regional representative for West and Central Africa at the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank in Abidjan, and investment officer in the Africa Department in Washington. Previously he worked at the English financial group Framlington Ltd, a subsidiary of HSBC. In 2005, he was promoted to regional director of emerging market partnerships, US investment funds manager and partner of AIG. Between 2003 and 2005, he acted as vice chairman of the Ecobank group (ETI) in Lomé. Mr Abrogoua graduated in 1980 from Adelphi University, New York with an MBA in banking & finance (honours); here he received the Delta Gold Key for his outstanding academic distinctions.
