Skills and TVET for African Youth
(by invitation only)
Achieving the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the global Vision 2030, calls for people-centred strategies that put education, skills development and economic empowerment at the forefront of development efforts. This session, hosted by the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency with the support of the Spanish Agency for International Development and Cooperation, provided a platform to exchange insights and practical solutions for women and youth development and economic empowerment. Among these: strengthening of Technical Vocational and Education Training (TVET) systems; building skills to harness business opportunities along agribusiness value chains; and economic empowerment of grassroots women.
