Come and join us on June 7

Welcome to the EU-Africa Business Forum

The next EU-Africa Business Forum is set to take place on 7 June 2017 at the European Development Days (EDDs) in Brussels, Belgium. With “Investing in job creation” as its central theme, and a focus on the priority sectors of agribusiness, sustainable energy and digitalisation, this milestone event is one of a series of business-related events in the run-up to the 5th Africa-EU Summit of Heads of State and Government, due to take place on 29-30 November in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

This event will convene high-level business leaders and stakeholders from Africa and Europe, and its success will hinge on the strong support and involvement of the African and European business communities as well as on the European Commission’s commitment to collaborate with the private sector, as a driver of inclusive growth and an important actor in achieving the objectives of the European External Investment Plan.

This determination is more evident with the proposed establishment of the Sustainable Business for Africa (SB4Africa) platform, which will lead to a structured dialogue between the European Commission and the European and African private sector.

We have lined up presidents and CEOs drawn from Development Finance Institutions and private sector organisations alongside high-level representatives from the European Union Commission and the African Union Commission.

The participation of these high-level participants bears testimony to the importance of the private sector’s role in the Joint EU-Africa Strategy.

Join us in this Forum to share your perspectives and experiences.
